After interning at an audio company, I started to appreciate good quality audio. Being unsatisfied with my TV’s inbuilt speakers, I set about fixing that, by building my own HiFi system of course!
The cabinet construction was the first thing and was made mostly from CNC cut MDF of my own design. Passive crossovers were also constructed and installed in the base of the cabinets.
Once the main mechanical features were complete, some walnut veneer finished them nicely along with some Danish Oil. I stretched speaker fabric over laser cut acrylic rings and attached magnets to make removable speaker covers too.
