The 2019 holiday ornament was pretty simple with 2x AAA batteries on the back and some slow-fade LEDs. The novel thing about this design was using castellated pads to enable in-plane mounting of the LEDs so they’re visible from both sides of the tree and provide some diffusion too. A great look but did prove a little challenging to assemble.
